Support Specialist - Rogers Memorial Hospital - Brown Deer, WI

The Support Specialist performs secretarial and unit clerical coordination services for the staff of the program (65%); performs various patient care activities and related non-professional services in caring for intellectual, psychosocial, physical and spiritual needs of patients (35%). The Support Specialist is directly responsible to the charge residential nurse (RN) and to the manager of Clinical Services.

Education/Training Requirements :
Bachelor’s Degree in a human services-related field is preferred.

Be eighteen (18) years of age, or older.

Hold a valid Wisconsin driver’s license. Will be required to have driving record approved by Rogers Memorial Hospital ’s insurance carrier.

Successful completion of self-defense training is required within sixty (60) days of the date of hire. Annual re-certification is required. Aggression control training preferred.

Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider CPR course certification or American Red Cross Professional Rescue is required within thirty (30) days of date of hire. Annual re-certification is required.

Previous experience in a psychiatric setting and unit secretary experience is preferred.
