Health & Safety Advisor




Health and Safety responsibilities in BENELUX region:


Our Global company is seeking an experienced Health & Safety advisor with significant experience in the coordination and management of the business and its Health & Safety issues out of our head office in Brussels.


The BENELUX area consists of 3 countries, Belgium, Netherlands and Luxemburg. Because Luxemburg has only one location we consider it as part of the BE operations. In Belgium there are 8 locations of which 2 administrative locations and 6 stations.


Belgium (including Luxemburg)


Safety advisor for Belgium:



  • Participation in the monthly committee meeting




  • Secretary of the monthly committee meeting in charge of:



    • The agenda for the upcoming meeting




    • The report of the held meeting




    • Any other official activities involving the HS Committee




    • Contact person between our business and the labor inspectorate




    • Participate in the creation of the





  • Contact person between our business and the external medical service



    • Report all personal injuries and update the files




    • Organize the periodical medical visits




    • Organize and maintain the first aid policy and recurrent trainings




    • Organize and maintain the Fire evacuation policy and recurrent trainings




    • Organize and conduct the yearly evacuation training at all BE locations




    • Organize and attend the yearly visit with the company labor doctor





  • Maintain various administrative files related to the medical services and new hires




  • Conduct and maintain the risk analysis for all locations




  • Conduct ergonomic work place analysis for VDU workers




  • Contact person between FedEx and the labor inspectorate




  • Keep track of all safety related trainings such as:



    • Forklift training




    • Safe lifting training





  • Conduct periodical audits and produce written reports to the relevant parties



Dangerous goods



  • Organize and deliver DG specialist training




  • Organize and deliver AUTODG training




  • Organize and deliver Cargo Security Screening training




  • Organize and communicate the yearly recurrent trainings, keeping control on compliance reports




  • Distributing the yearly reminders on any DG topic, new DG subjects or changes in legislation relevant for operational departments, CSA and Sales.



ADR safety advisor for BE



  • Responsibilities regarding the production of yearly ADR reports




  • Contact person for any governmental inquiries and internal inquiries




  • Maintain control of all operational procedures related to the transport of DG by road



FANC contact person related to the licenses for XRAY and ETD devices for all stations



  • Keeping the licenses up to date with legislation




  • Request new licenses for new locations or when changes to existing machinery occurs




  • Maintain control over dosimeters with medical institute




  • Document control of all yearly inspection reports of all locations




  • Correspondence with controlling agencies (AIB Vincotte Controlatom)



HS Management system BE



  • Keep track of local BE changes in legislation




  • Organize periodical Steerco meetings




  • Introduce changes due to regulation changes




  • Conduct yearly audits to verify compliance of HSMS in each operational location



Netherlands Express:


Safety rep for the Netherlands and participation in the quarterly VGWM committee as advisor



  • Support the employer and employees with relevant information related to HS issues.




  • Maintain a current RIE system (Risk Inventory and Evaluation) for each location in the Netherlands.




  • Contact person for any HS related issue with external services:




  • Conduct periodical audits and produce written reports to the relevant parties

  • Organize the initial GAP analysis




  • Organize the final GAP analysis




  • Organize periodical Steerco meetings




  • Introduce changes due to regulation changes




  • Conduct yearly audits to verify compliance of HSMS in each operational location



Netherlands Supply Chain:


Safety rep for the Netherlands Supply Chain and participation in the 2 monthly VGWM committee as advisor



  • Support the employer and employees with relevant information related to HS issues.




  • Maintain a current RIE system (Risk Inventory and Evaluation) for each location in the Netherlands.




  • Contact person for any HS related issue with external services:

  • Create the legal register based on the local HS legislation
