Machine Operator Flexo Folder Gluer - Arrow Carton Company - Richfield, WI

JOB SUMMARY
The Machine Operator is responsible for overseeing machine set-ups and production runs. The Machine lead on the FFG, making sure the machine is running properly and observing the product that comes off the machine. The machine lead is held accountable for set up times, quality, watching for jam-ups, bale counts and completing any necessary paperwork.

Reports to

• Production Supervisor/Manager

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Delegate responsibilities to others working on machine.


• Mentor and train others on machine


• Determine speed at which to run a job


• Trouble-shoot machine problems. Possess enough knowledge of machine to be able to understand what is wrong and ways to correct the problem.


• Ensure proper maintenance and cleaning is performed on equipment


• Clean-up work area each day and assist with a deeper clean and maintenance weekly.


• Monitor quality of product coming off of machine. Pull product for visual inspection of print and quality.


• Excellent attendance required. Must be dependable and have a reliable mode of transportation.


• Adheres to AIB standards


• Other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES

• Complete knowledge of every position on the FFG. Must be able to step into any position on the machine (set-up, glue, clearing jams, loading materials, etc.)


• Knowledge of raw materials, production process and quality control.


• Can accurately read and use a tape measure


• Ability to work overtime as needed

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• High School diploma or equivalent


• Minimum of 3-5 years Machine Operator experience on a flexo folder gluer.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time


• Must be able to bend, twist, stoop, and grip on a repetitive basis


• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds


• Must be able to work in various heat conditions

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
40 hours per week
Mon. – Fri. 7:00am – 3:30pm (plus overtime when needed)

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $16.00 /hour
