Opportunity

Kohler power systems finance has an exciting and challenging opportunity, open to candidates from associate through senior accounting analyst. This position offers high level exposure to Kohler power system’s management both domestically and across the globe. Candidates should have the desire and potential to comfortably communicate to all levels of the organization as well as many different functional groups. This position supports activities related to analysis and expenditure control for capital, marketing,

advertising, and IT projects. It also offers the right individual the opportunity to gain an in depth understanding of the controlling profitability analysis system reporting and drive a key process improvement for our business. Responsibilities include:

• Coordinating the Kohler power systems capital plan process, including establishing appropriate timelines, coordinating and informing cross-functional teams, and participating in review meetings with management. Included within is an on-going effort to improve the process by reducing cycle time, enhancing information to management, and driving towards a more effective process.
  


• Preparation and review of financial analysis for all capital project ACTs.
  


• Serving as the owner of the return on investment model for Kohler power systems, educating fellow associates within finance and providing a general understanding of the return on investment model to functional areas outside of finance.
  


• Analysis of marketing, advertising, and IT project expense, assisting all levels of management in understanding costs and variances to plan/forecast and recommending corrective action where appropriate.
  


• Drive key project for the business, supporting our product line reporting by transitioning the business to controlling profitability analysis system assessment logic.
  

This position requires an individual with strong communication skills, willing to reach out and work expensively with non-finance associates. It can accommodate and associate accounting analyst through a senior accounting analyst.

Skills/Requirements

Minimum of bachelors degree in business administration with an emphasis in finance or accounting.

• A strong working knowledge of excel is required.
  


• SAP knowledge and experience is desired.
  


• Effective communication skills, both within and outside of the accounting/ finance organization.
