Opportunity


Would providing technical direction on major product design and development projects excite you? Are you someone who would enjoy assisting with or leading the planning, scheduling, and coordination of design and development projects? Then the position of Staff Design Engineer, Sanitary might be the perfect role for you!


In the role of Staff Engineer, Sanitary , you would be responsible for determining the technical feasibility of new products and improvement concepts. You would prepare detailed project plans including technical objectives and approaches, schedule plans, project cost estimates, and product cost analyses as needed to support product development. Key pieces of the role would be to direct and coordinate all work by engineers, support personnel, and outside groups involving design, development, drafting, prototype construction, and test and evaluation of product concepts. Other responsibilities of the role would be to counsel and train less senior engineers, maintain project records, contribute professional advice and creative ideas to new product design and development projects, and keeping abreast of new technologies and products relative to the plumbing industry.


Skills/Requirements


  • A minimum of a Bachelors Degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited institution plus of 8 years of steadily increasing experience OR a minimum of a Master’s Degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited institution plus a minimum of 6 years of experience required.

  • A track record of success working within cross-functional teams is required.

  • A deep understanding of the product development process is required.

  • Professional experience with the product development process within the consumer goods market is highly preferred.
