Acelero Learning is a direct provider Head Start services in four states (New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Nevada and Wisconsin).

Shine Early Learning partners with local organizations to support the delivery of high quality services.

Shine Assist is a training and technical assistance unit which partners with other Head Start providers to improve their programs through hands-on training, access to our proprietary tools which have demonstrable impact on child outcomes, and the use of our Shine Insight data system.

Shine Implement , the newest unit within Shine Early Learning, manages the delivery of Head Start services for a select group of partners through a suite of services including oversight of educational, family services and program design activities, provision of our proprietary tools, and the use of our Shine Insight data system.

Primary Responsibilities :

This position serves as a Substitute Teacher for a Head Start center. The Substitute Teacher is called in as needed and earns $10.13/hr. The Substitute Teacher will work collaboratively with the Teacher to ensure the successful operation of a classroom of children. The Substitute Teacher also works with a team of other classroom Teachers, Assistant Teachers and family members to implement curriculum to achieve outcomes for children of all abilities. The Substitute Teacher will ultimately be evaluated on a combination of skills, dispositions and behaviors, some of which are related to the specific service area of this position and others that represent general expectations of all Acelero Learning employees.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma required. CDA or degree in early childhood education or related preferred.
  


• Bilingual Spanish- English preferred
  


• Pass physical examination, background check, and fingerprinting screen
  


• Able to lift a child weighing 40 pounds, 20 times a day if needed.
  


• Obtain certification in CPR/First Aid, and Shaken Baby Syndrome (SBS) within six (6) months of hire.
  

The wage range is $10.13 an hour.
