Parks Maintenance Worker - Ozaukee County - Port Washington, WI
Ozaukee County is looking for responsible individuals to work in our Planning and Parks Department – Parks Division, part-time, approximately April – November. The County Park System includes 11 County Parks, the Ozaukee Interurban Trail and two County-owned golf courses. Responsibilities: Assist with general maintenance of the County parks and trails including, but not limited to: mowing grass; weed trimming; invasive species management, tree and shrub planting, trimming, removal or pruning; litter and garbage pick-up; bathroom cleaning; empty/clean fire pits and grills; clean shelters and buildings; trail and ground maintenance; open and close park gates; assist in special construction projects, and other park and trail maintenance duties as assigned. Qualifications: Individuals must have a valid Wisconsin Drivers License, and experience in parks, golf courses, or other recreation maintenance field. Outdoor work experience preferred. Location: These positions will work out of Waubedonia Park, and throughout the County Park System. Salary Range/Hours: $7.50 – $12.00 per hour. Seasonal part-time hours which includes some early morning shifts, mid afternoon shifts and also may include some weekend hours. 20-40 hours per week.
