The John Michael Kohler Arts Center is seeking a part-time Administrative Assistant to greet and direct callers and visitors. Responsibilities include providing general information, handling multiline telephone system, administrative tasks, security-related duties, and sales of Arts Center offerings, which include performances, classes, and workshops, using an integrated database system. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required. Belgium: Publications Intern


Role:


Crisis Group publishes around 60 reports and briefings annually, and some 30 full translations (English, French, Spanish, Arabic and other languages).


We are seeking a intern to volunteer full-time at the Brussels headquarters for a suggested period of six months starting 16 August 2016, assisting with Crisis Group’s publications. The volunteer internship will suit a broad range of candidates, including those with interests and experience in some combination of the following: international relations, conflict studies, print and online publication.


Responsibilities:


  • Formatting, publication and dissemination of Crisis Group reports and briefings;

  • Updating the website; and

  • Coordinating with our 25 field and advocacy offices on publication issues and providing general administrative support.

Though administrative tasks form a part of the volunteer internship, there are opportunities to assist other departments in Brussels (typically research and/or communications), take part in staff and intern briefings and our staff development program. The internship will give the incumbent a good understanding of how an international organisation works.


Requirements:


  • Experienced user of Microsoft Word, familiarity with Excel;

  • Attention to detail and highly organised;

  • An undergraduate degree is required – a degree in international relations, conflict studies, government, or similar is desirable;

  • Possession of an EU passport, student visa or other means of working in Belgium for six months without work permit sponsorship from Crisis Group; and

  • Excellent English required, knowledge of French and other languages is an asset.

At Dungarvin, our direct care professionals are responsible for providing and coordinating direct services and healthful lifestyle supports to individuals with varying mental and physical disabilities.


Intense Behavioral Supports will be provided at this site. Learn, be challenged and go home tired, accomplished and satisfied every day!


These living supports include, but are not limited to:


  • Supervising

  • Teaching

  • Assisting the individuals in every aspect of their lives according to their Individualized Support Plans (ISP) with the goals of fostering increased independence, choice and empowerment

  • Assisting in maintaining a clean and safe living environment

  • Assisting in meal preparation

  • Completion of various household duties

The direct support professional must possess:

  • A sincere desire to provide individualized supports to persons with developmental disabilities

  • The ability to make sound judgments when given guidance and priorities

  • The ability to work as a team member to maintain consistency and quality supports

  • The ability to communicate effectively with other staff members

Job Purpose:


The Payroll Specialist is responsible for processing the bi-weekly payroll and ensuring the labor hours from data collection properly interface into the payroll software.


Description of Essential Duties:
Includes the following duties and others as assigned:


  • Process electronic batches daily and enter manual time cards

  • Calculate the bi-weekly payroll and ensure its completion and accuracy

  • Calculates travel pay for employees

  • Prepare a variety of reports and provide payroll information as requested

  • Compile and generate reports to reconcile all payroll liabilities and receivable accounts

  • Manage contract employee hours and invoices

  • Manage the year end process including, W2’s, system change-over, and new benefits

  • Assist with bank and check reconciliations

Qualification Requirements: (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.)


  • Associate’s Degree in Accounting preferred, but not required

  • Requires 1-3 years of relevant experience

  • Knowledge of TCM (Workwise) and ADP software a plus

  • Requires knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications with emphasis in Excel and Word.

  • Requires mathematical skills that require the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide

  • Must have the ability to develop, write and follow procedures

  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from other managers, external auditors and outside regulatory agencies

Responsibilities:


Primary Purpose


Schedules surgeries and special equipment needs, and processes patient charges. Assists in maintaining efficient flow of the Operating Room (OR) schedule and communicates all pertinent information to appropriate parties.


Major Responsibilities


Coordinates scheduling of surgical procedures between physicians and their offices, available OR specialty time, anesthesia, and other departments as necessary (i.e., X-ray, MRI, CT, etc.). Coordinates and communicates changes to existing schedule with appropriate departments/staff and makes adjustments to ensure maximum utilization of rooms and equipment.


Schedules next day and beyond surgical procedures. Maintains and updates surgery assignments. Prints and distributes future OR schedules to all appropriate areas. Notifies providers with schedule changes and additions.


Obtains necessary lab work, x-rays, H&P (History & Physical) as applicable.


Processes patient charges and calculates based on procedure type, length of procedure, and supplies used. Reviews revenue to ensure charges are entered for every patient. Runs reports and verifies correct entry of codes and updates charges if errors are made.


Answers, screens, triages, prioritizes, and determines urgency of incoming calls. Acts as a resource to providers, staff, patients and families.


Operates and troubleshoots office equipment, arranges for maintenance repairs as necessary. May maintain inventory of office supplies, and complete and submit supply orders to replenish stock.

Required Functional Experience


Typically requires 1 year of experience in a health care setting performing customer service functions that may include experiences in scheduling, registration, insurance authorization and/or patient billing.


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities


Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency with medical terminology. Basic knowledge of medical insurance plan terminology.Excellent communication skills; ability to effectively communicate with a variety of patients, staff and physicians. Able to read and understand verbal and written instructions.Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.Excellent organization and prioritization skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and short deadlines.Must have a high attention to detail.Proficient computer skills including experience in using Microsoft Office or similar applications, and electronic mail.


Scheduled Hours:


Monday through Friday 8:30 am – 5 pm. Will work out of / travel to local sites (Menomonee Falls, Hartford, Germantown) to work with physician and his team to meet the needs of our patients.
