Part-Time Customer Service Rep - Allen Edmonds - Port Washington, WI






Position Summary:
This afternoon/evening/weekend Part-Time position plays a vital role in building customer loyalty, positive word of mouth, and brand equity for Allen Edmonds by helping to deliver the outstanding customer experience that is synonymous with the Allen Edmonds brand. The Customer Service team is a critical component of the Allen Edmonds strategy and requires superior talent, collaboration, and energy to maintain excellent customer service through rapid growth. This position contributes to our mission by monitoring, documenting, and fully responding to customer comments and inquiries across social and electronic media regarding the company, products, website, orders, billing, and other topics in a manner consistent with Allen Edmonds’ brand.


Major Responsibilities:


  • Communicates with customers via social media, email, online forums, online chat, and telephone.

  • Uses creative thinking and established standard operating procedures to respond to customer inquiries.

  • Participates on cross-functional team to escalate, address, and fully resolve customer problems.

  • Processes and follows up with customers regarding returns and exchanges.

  • Coordinates with shipping vendor via phone and online regarding status of claims and returns.

  • Coordinates with warehouse team to effectively communicate shipping status of product with individual e-commerce customers and drop ship accounts.

  • Completes other responsibilities as assigned by management.

Position Requirements:


  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong computer & typing skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office

  • Strong analytical, decision making, negotiation, and creative problem solving skills

  • Ability to stay organized and multi-task in a high paced environment

  • Must be self-motivated, solution oriented, and have excellent follow through skills

  • Ability to work effectively both in a team environment and independently

  • Must be able to work weekends from 10am-3pm and weeknights until 8pm

  • E-commerce experience is a plus

  • Minimum of a high school diploma plus 5 years customer service experience. Bachelor’s degree is preferred. A combination of education and experience will be considered.
