Job description

We’re looking for a Business Intelligence Technical Lead to join our Brussels team with responsibility for designing the data warehouse architecture and driving the BI solution across the business.
You’ll be designing from scratch, building a data warehouse architecture that will drive our business performance and support us as we continue to rapidly expand.

You role will include:

Define the overall structure of the BI solution
Connect to multiple source systems (website, Google Analytics, operations, etc.)
Design a data warehouse architecture and logically / physically model data in close collaboration with system owners
Develop and implement a robust and scalable extraction, transformation and loading (ETL) process in the cloud
Build a comprehensive semantic layer on top of the data warehouse, in close collaboration with the BI analysts
Connect a reporting tool (still being chosen) over the warehouse, and implement dashboards and reports
Monitor performance and maintain the overall BI solution, continuously tuning queries and loads
Design and implement a robust Access Control List (ACL) and secure the data from internal / external threats
Identify basic reporting needs and setup a first set of management dashboards

Desired Skills and Experience:

Relevant experience in Business Intelligence engineering and data warehousing
Prior experience at building a data warehouse from scratch, including complex modelling techniques
Strong business intuition and ability to understand complex business systems
Mastery of SQL and database accesses
Knowledge of agile and scrum methodologies
A natural self starter, able to take initiative and take an entrepreneurial approach to everyday tasks
Master’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering is preferred
